The desktop lamps of the formless collection feature carefully crafted negative spaces in between live edged piece of wood. These raw pieces are held together two rectangular elements, one to house the light and the other to contain the light in the interior space. This lamp is an enclosure for light, letting it out through the filter of tree space created between the live edges. The piece is treated with iron mordant to give it its unique dark hue.
