A perfectly rectangular wood plane held up by two rough pieces slanting towards each other with the formless bark intact on either side, this piece shows superior craftsmanship where the slanting diagonal supports pierce the horizontal plane and emerge above the top surface. A modern interpretation of traditional post and lintel construction, the piece is further emboldened by the application of iron mordant giving it a unique purple-black tint.
